I received this email two minutes ago from a neighbourhood crime watch member. She actually witnessed firsthand a schoolboy being beaten up by a gang of 4 older boys last week.

Hello, I actually read your blog and i realized that you are helping in crime prevention. I have actually witnessed a schoolboy being beat up and it was really bad. I saw the boys beating up the younger schoolboy and the little boy did not have a chance to even stand up. It increases the crime rate of our lovely Vic St and I truly wish I could have done something more about it but I am just an old lady with white hair. I sincerely hope that boy is alright and I hope you guys over at the watch group and the police dept. would do something about it. I recognised the school uniform and the schoolboy was a student from St. Casey's Secondary School. Please feel free to update me any updates you guys receive about the poor kid. Thanks!

Any enquires please contact me at HuliPoh09@email.com

-End of Email-

We have informed the Chief-Of-Poilice about this incident and talked to the principal of St Casey's School and we have already made sure of his safety and apprehended the boys who beat him up. This is evidence that our neighbourhood watch group combined with the local police would be very effective in reducing crime. A big thank you to Ms Hu Li and we urge all other citizens of Vic St. to do the same.

Yours Sincerely,
Chief of Neighbourhood Watch Group, Khoo Yee Wee.

Recent updates on Crime in Vic St.

Greetings fellow citizens of Vic St,
as you may have already heard or even witnessed or experienced, the crime rate of Vic St has been steadily increasing. We created this website to update and inform you dear citizens that we, the police and caring citizens of Vic St are doing as much as we can to get rid of the vermin of our city.

We have many concerned citizens and this is an email we received from one very concerned citizen about the well being of our lovely city.

Dear Sir,

Last night I was parking my car at Blk 10 level 3 multi-storey carpark, and I witnessed this. It is a terrible act and it is not something our respectful righteous citizens of Vic St would do. Kindly have a look at the pictures I attached. The cars are all badly spray painted and scratched! Please forward this email to our neighbours in hope of shining light to them about the crime in Vic St and hopefully their cars can avoid the same bad fate.

Please be on the lookout and inform suspicious characters of our neighbourhood. Oh and could you inform Insp. Pete and request him for tips to avoid vandals when parking our cars in the neighbourhood?

PS: I snapped a couple of crime prevention posters last week. Do you think they'd work?

Jon from Blk 3, Vic Street

Thank you for your time. Hope to eradicate crime in Vic St.

We thank him sincerely for letting us know about the situation. There's no better crime prevention than concerned citizens teaming up with the local police to catch these vermin of the city and give them their due punishment.
We have put up a couple of posters in and around the neighbourhood and mostly at places where crime is being committed.

Best form of cure is actually prevention so with the help of our citizens I'm sure we can make Vic St free of crime again.

Thank you, your friendly neighbourhood leader of neighbourhood watchgroup,
Khoo Yee Wee.
